It is an honour to have known Graham both as a friend and fellow player at Newquay Cricket Club. It was always such fun to witness his guile as a spin bowler and listen to his humorous post-match comments over a beer afterwards.

A great teacher with a great sense of humour. Things he taught stay with me 50 years later. Thanks Doc. Rest well.

Really sorry to hear this news. Doc Clarke was a great teacher and character, I always enjoyed his classes and his support during sixth form.
Whether he was talking through science or regaling us with stories of his cricketing ‘prowess’ (which invariably involved fumbled boundary catches, wild googlies or chaotic run outs!), his humour and knowledge were great and stood me in good stead for the future.
My condolences to the family and gutted I can’t make the service.

A true teaching legend. His legacy will live on for many years in the thousands of pupils he’s taught and helped to their next steps.
