ThomasCASEYof Thorn Bank, Bacup died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 21, aged 81 years. A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, March 2 at St Anselm’s RC Church, Whitworth at 11am, followed by interment in Bacup Cemetery at 12.30pm, conducted by Father Chris McGrane. Born in Dublin, Thomas came to Bacup at the age of 13. He worked at Ross Mill, Fred Harpers and Anglo Felt in Whitworth. He was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and Manchester United and also enjoyed DIY jobs. He leaves his wife of almost 60 years, Vera, children Thomas, Lora, James, Sharon, Dean and John, 19 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, brothers Jay, Joey and Mikey and sister Mary, nephews, nieces and many friends.
