I spent a lot of time in Martin's home as a child and I just saw him as a hard working gentle giant. I'm not sure how he put up with us sometimes as he probably just wanted a bit of peace and quiet after getting home from work. He always seemed to be doing something around the house even after he'd been grafting at work all week. Happy memories of going to the Irish League with him and Paddy when we were kids and feeling spoilt when he'd buy us pop and crisps and give us a load of change to stick in the machines 🙂. He really was a lovely man. Rest in peace, big Martin 🙏🏻
