David ElwynCANNANPeacefully at home on April 5th 2023, aged 79 years, after a long illness bravely borne. Beloved husband of the late Christine, much loved Dad to Jason and Lee, father in law to Kate and Maddi, and a wonderful Grandad to Eloise and Ethan. Loved by all who knew him. Resting at A G Adams Funeralcare, Barry, until the service on Thursday May 4th at St Mary's Church, Wenvoe, at 3pm, followed by committal at Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium, Barry. Family flowers only please, but donations in memory of Dai can be made directly to Cancer Research Wales. Any enquiries to A G Adams Funeralcare, Tel. 01446 735400.

I played skittles with Dai for over twenty years with the Canon Balls before I moved to Cornwall. Without doubt he was one of the funniest men I’ve ever met. He was as good as any comedian and a true gent. He has been missed whilst ill and will be much missed in the future. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dave was truly a fun guy with a great sense of humour. A man with a good, kind heart who did things his way. I will miss him
