My mother had 5 children in Grenada, Anthony Williams, Francis Rodney (Markie) Monica, Nesta, I.

Due to hardship, Anthony Williams was sent to his grand mother, Nesta and Monica was sent to different homes as house help. That leaves Markie and l with our mother. Markie and I had a closer relationship compare to our other siblings. He left for Trinidad because he fought a band of masqueraders. He was a strong fighter. He left his first son Simeon in Grenada.

In Trinidad he had three children, Joyce Joan and Saga. Then he left again for England as George Benjamin. l visited him in 1996, where l met his late wife Lily, and the rest of my family. We had a wonderful time on thay occasion.

I visited two times after. The last time we talked about when we were growing up in Grenada. we recalled the good times and bad times. lt seems as though the conversation was like saying goodbye.

He left behind the last two of his siblings, Nesta and I. He has gone to join the realm of the Ancestors. l love and miss mybrother. May his soul rest in power ✌ 🙏 💔

I remembered the last time I met with Uncle George in South Philadelphia in 1993, we had lots of fun. We played card games and tell stories about his days when he was a young man.

He was in Philadelphia with his late wife Lilly. During that time we had a big cookout with family and friends. It was a joyous memory. Have yourself a peaceful transition uncle. Ase'oo
