David. Thank you for your guidance and words of wisdom over the many years of my growing up. Any conversation was however never without a joke to lift any conversation. May you rest in peace my friend. Lots of love, Richard and family.

David was a very interesting man, a loyal friend and a fantastic ambassador for Cornwall, the Poldhu Radio.Club and amateur radio in general.
He was a brilliant speaker able to motivate everyone from primary school children to seasoned ‘hams’. When I first moved down here I offered to act as a check operator in one of his contest entries. It was a total waste of time, his CW (morse) was so good he never made an error and he was always so much faster than my attempts to help! Even in his 80’s he was achieving more than two contacts a minute.
I shall miss his wonderful stories and anecdotes about his time at sea and his encyclopaedic knowledge of communication systems on the Lizard.
His books and articles make a wonderful memorial to a life well spent.
Thoughts, of course are with Diane and I am sure she has wonderful memories of a long life with this true gentleman. I look forward to enjoying a cup of Earl Grey or coffee with her at the house or the Poldhu Cafe.
Love Terry and Claire who is currently in Sydney.
