My Grandad was the greatest grandad ever lived. I know everyone says that but mine truly was. He had the most infectious personality, his love for his family, especially us grandchildren was like no other. He had this magical way of engaging the audience, just his sheer presence made us feel safe and loved and happy. Everyone, no matter who they were, listened to his jokes and his stories, there wasn't a soul in the room not hypnotised by his warmth, his love and his charm. Those cherished memories of grandad playful with us grandchildren, all sat mesmerised by his games, eyes fixed on his every move and words and giggling when nan told him off for being silly. Saturday afternoons spent with the family, getting together, watching telly, playing games, we were blessed with such amazing childhood experiences. I have had the honour of my children, his great grandchildren enjoying spending time with him too. His charm was as spellbinding for them as it was for me. Forever grateful to have such an inspirational man as my grandad and my children's great grandad.

Grandad showed us the true meaning of family, to love unconditionally, to show care and compassion and fun and happiness, he never got cross with us or bored or annoyed with us, he loved us, always. His love for nan however was probably one of the biggest gifts he shared. They were undoubtedly soul mates and their love for one another over those years was truly undeniable and showed us all what love is, I witnessed one of life's greatest love stories, like a fairytale. My grandad was the greatest, I'll miss him always, till we meet again, my hero. I love you grandad ❤️

I've got so many memories that I will cherish forever. Whether that be Saturday night for tea at Nan and Grandads, Boxing day with all the family play charades, going on walks down the canal with him and one of many of their dogs their had along the way or sitting watching him say the same stories and tell the same jokes to my children that he did to me. Now you've gone from sight but always here in our hearts 💕
Love and miss you Grandad xxx
