Donated in memory of Barry, whose tireless efforts as church treasurer and community leader brought joy and support to so many. His kindness, warmth, and organizational skills touched the lives of countless individuals, including ours.

His love for his family and faith was evident in everything he did. Barry leaves a legacy of compassion, community spirit, and agape that will, no doubt, continue to inspire us all for years to come.

This donation is a small tribute to his remarkable life and service. With love, Helen and Colum Wilson.

Barry (Mr Waller to me) was my incredible teacher at Kielder first school in the 1970s. Years ahead of his time, his teaching was innovative, creative and holistic. He really did challenge conventional education and I personally have been inspired by him my entire life. He taught us how to cook rabbit French style, how to write a play, how to dye fabric, how to gather clay from the hills and make pots. The list is endless. He even rewrote a modern version of the nativity play where I played Mary and had a go at Joseph for being late from the Inn as the goat stew was burnt. At the wee age of 8 he encouraged me to exhibit my art in the school as a “one woman show” Again, ahead of his time but so supportive of our abilities and confidence. The man was a genius. He will never be forgotten. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Our condolences to the entire family. I have never met you Barry but I have work with your son Jono for many years. What an absolute credit to you, Jono is one of the kindest humans I’ve ever met and I know this would be a direct result of his upbringing. Love to all the family and Jono, please except our virtual hugs from my family to yours. Love the Aussie Sheehans
