Dorothy PhyllisRIDER(née Guilliatt) Passed away peacefully after a short illness on the 23rd of August 2025, at Bankfoot House, Moffat, aged 100 years.

Much loved wife of the late Leonard Rider, cherished mother of Janice and Gordon, dearly loved grandmother to Elektra, and mother-in-law to Vesna and Andy. She will be sadly missed by all.

A funeral service will take place at 11am in Scawby Church followed by committal at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Friday the 26th of September.

Family flowers only, donations are gratefully accepted for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution: c/o

Our hearts are broken at the passing of Auntie Dorothy. She was an inspiration and witty, caring and loving. I have fond memories of times spent with Auntie Dorothy and Uncle Len when growing up. Auntie Dorothy has had such a wonderful life and has had the most amazing family around her. She is now at peace and reunited with Uncle Len. RIP lovely lady. 💕 Love from Hayley, Tiff, Daniel and Ella. Xx

We were all deeply saddened to hear of Dorothy’s passing. She was an incredible lady and we feel privileged to have known and learned from her.
