I met Dave at University College (London) in 1976. We became close friends, having a common interest in sport, especially football (Boro' vs WBA). Dave was best man at my wedding in August 1987, a memorable day. In the ensuing years we stayed in touch and frequently met up for drinks in London. Treasured memories. A great guy, will be sadly missed. RIP 🍻. Nigel & Sarah

I have many fond memories of David. I was David's form teacher and had the pleasure of teaching him maths at St Francis and English Martyrs schools in Hartlepool. David also had the honour/misfortune of playing in goal in a football team I ran displaying great fortitude and resolution.
