David LeslieJONESPassed away peacefully at home on Tuesday 24th June 2025, having recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Loving dad to Paul, devoted partner of Janet, proud grandad to Hector and Teddy and a friend to so many. Cherished for his warmth and kindness, his love of Derby County and sport and his immaculate garden. Funeral service to be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent on Friday 1st August 2025 at 1.30pm. Please wear what you feel comfortable in, traditional attire is not necessary. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired are invited for Cancer Research UK. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service. Dave was such a big character. Our conversations ranged from shares, to politics to how to get the greenest grass. His advice was to seize the day and do what makes you happy.

I feel privileged to have known him both as a neighbour and a good friend.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing and send my condolences to Jan and all of his family. He was a lovely man and I will miss our chats about the Rams and reminiscing about old times in Aston on Trent.RIP
